They decided to open a bicycle shop and started fixing other people’s bicycles. But Wilbur never forgot their childhood dream. They eventually built a huge glider by using the parts from their bicycle shop. They tried to make it work for weeks. But it didn’t work. The brothers felt frustrated. They wondered, "Should we give up?"

かれらは　じてんしゃのおみせを　ひらくことにきめ、ほかのひとの　じてんしゃの　しゅうりを　はじめました。しかし、ウィルバーは　こどものころのゆめを　けしてわすれませんでした。 かれらはやがて、じてんしゃのぶひんをつかって、きょだいなグライダーをつくります。それを　なんしゅうかんも　とばそうとしました。でもうまくいきません。きょうだいたちは　おちこみました。「あきらめるべきか」とまよいました。
