Interestingly, Columbus was happy. He believed that the islands he discovered were not Asia but a new continent. He knew this was a discovery that can change the world. He asked the King and Queen for a bigger fleet to explore the new continent. Luckily, they agreed to his request. And he went on his 2nd trip in the same direction.
