French people welcomed Marie but soon realised she was selfish and wasted people's money. She only cared about herself. A lot of people in France were poor and they had no food or clothes. The poor people begged for bread, she didn't care.

フランスのひとびとは　マリーを　かんげいしていましたが、すぐに　かのじょがじぶんかってで　こくみんのおかねを　むだづかいしていることに　きづきました。かのじょは　じぶんのことしか　かんがえませんでした。フランスの　おおくのひとびとは　まずしくて、たべものも　ふくも　ありませんでした。まずしいひとびとは　パンを　こころから　もとめていましたが、かのじょは　きにしませんでした。
